Cheery Crafts was created in September 2014 when I finally took
the plunge to turn my hobby into a business.
One chilly February afternoon in 2013 my wonderful unsuspecting husband took me to a bead fair for a birthday treat 'to do something different' with no idea of what lay around the corner. To be fair neither did ! We took part in a taster session making beads with polymer clay at my sons insistence and so it started.
We used to have a dining area in the living room of our home however it has been overrun with crafting stuff and I do all my creating on the dining table. Now this table only reverts to its intended use once a year at Christmas.
Polymer clay is incredibly flexible and I love how it enables the ideas in my head become reality. I am constantly learning by experimenting to discover just what I can do with it.
Since life is serious enough I like to explore the lighter and fun side of it through the creative process and hope to bring a smile to people’s faces whilst celebrating the beautiful world around us. This is why my business name is ‘Cheery Crafts’.
I set up a Face book page to promote Cheery Crafts and was fortunate to be able to attend an Etsy course in October 2014. This led to my on-line shop with Etsy (use my 'Cheery Crafts Etsy Shop' button or the link above to visit my shop), at craft fairs and in person. I have provided links to my Etsy shop so have not included a price list here. Each item is priced individually according to materials used, time taken to make it & other costs involved in running a business.
Thank you for taking time to visit my website. Everything is handmade by me (except, for example, frames, stands or jewelry findings) so each item is unique.
Payment can be made using Paypal unless you are purchasing from my Etsy shop. You do not need a Paypal account as I can send you a payment button when I invoice you via email.
Your purchase will be shipped within 3 working days after payment has been received unless you have ordered a custom item in which case I will keep you informed about progress.
A 50% deposit is required prior to making commissioned items. This is non refundable. Full payment is required prior to posting your commission. I will send you photos of the completed item with the final invoice.
All products listed in the shop are in stock and will be shipped within 1 - 3 working days once payment has been received. Custom pieces will take a little longer.
I will notify you as soon as I have shipped your order so you know it is on its way.
Shipping is paid for by the purchaser. I use Royal Mail standard first class postage for packages but they are not insured. If you would prefer additional delivery options (such as Signed For) these can be arranged upon request.
Please note that once the package is shipped I am no long in control of arrival times. If you are experiencing a delay please contact your local sorting office in the first instance. If your order cannot be found please let me know.
While packages generally arrive much quicker I allow Royal Mail 2 weeks in the UK and 4 weeks for international delivery before re-sending or refunding for non - delivery.
Please remember that shipping around any holiday period can be slower and unpredictable.
International buyers are responsible for any and all customs charges, taxes and additional postal fees.

Should there be a problem with your item on arrival please let me know as soon as possible so that we can try and resolve any issues. This can be done up to 14 days after you have received the items.
I make every effort to ensure that your order arrives in good condition however if the item should be damaged upon arrival please email me a photo at the earliest opportunity and I will see what I can do to help.
Please note I am unable to accept returns of earrings for hygiene reasons.
I am unable to accept returns or offer refunds for tailor made customised items.
Shipping costs for returns are the purchasers responsibility. However if you return an item that is faulty I will refund all postage costs.
Any refunds will be paid within 14 days of the novelties being returned to me unless otherwise agreed.
A custom order will take time to make and I will keep you informed about it's progress. I will let you know how long it will take when we discuss what you would like.
My products may vary slightly to the listing photos as each item is handmade and therefore unique.
Should you have a mishap with your item super glue works very well with polymer clay.
Please note: All products I make are not intended for young children so please don't let little fingers get hold of them as some parts may break off if dropped and could become a choking hazard.
If you are unhappy with anything or there are any problems please let me know as soon as possible so that we can try to resolve them together.
Intellectual Property & Design Right
All my pieces are designed and made by me. I do not believe in copying other people's work, apart from contravening copyright/intellectual property laws it is both unethical & immoral. I have written a blog on this issue so please read that for further information.
I do not give consent to anyone to copy my designs to sell them. A lot of thought and time goes into creating my pieces. If you feel you would like to copy my work and/or to sell it please contact me in the first instance. I assert my design rights and can evidence that I am the originator of all my pieces.
